KnackHub

Privacy Policy

Effective October 18, 2026

KnackHub is a marketplace where KnackGuides share skills with Knackers. Running it takes a small amount of information about you — this page explains what we collect, why we need it, and what control you have over it.

What we collect

Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, so we never store your password in readable form.

Listing details for guides: your bio, profile picture, what you teach, your price, your general area, and the exact venue for in-person knacks — that venue is only shared with a learner once their booking is paid.

Booking and payment records: what was booked, when, and for how much. Card details go straight to our payment provider; we never see or store your card number.

Things you give us: files a guide uploads for a knack, and any message you send us through the contact form.

Basic technical data: device, browser and the pages you visit, so we can keep the site working.

How we use it

To match Knackers with KnackGuides and confirm bookings, to take payment and pay guides, to send the emails a booking needs (confirmations, reminders and anything a guide sends afterwards), to keep the community safe and sort out problems, and to improve the marketplace.

Who sees it

The other person in a booking: a guide sees the learner's name and contact details for a confirmed session, and the learner receives the venue or video link.

The services that run the platform: our payment provider for payments and payouts, plus the providers who host the app, store files and send our email.

The authorities, if the law requires it.

We never sell your personal data.

Keeping it safe and how long we keep it

Your data lives on established cloud infrastructure, with access limited to what each person needs to do their job. We keep your records while your account is open, and longer only where the law or a live dispute requires it.

Your choices

You can update your details from your account, ask us to delete your account and the data behind it, and opt out of any email that isn't needed to run a booking you've made.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, to remember an invite or referral code you arrived with, and to understand which pages work. Turning cookies off may stop bookings from completing.
