Terms of Use
Effective October 18, 2026
These are the rules for using KnackHub — for KnackGuides who share a skill and Knackers who book one. Using the site or booking a knack means you accept them, so please read them.
Accounts
Keep your details accurate and your login to yourself — anything that happens under your account is your responsibility. You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live to book or list a knack.
KnackGuides are independent contractors
Guides are not employees, agents, partners or joint venturers of KnackHub. You decide what you teach, when, where, how and at what price, and you're responsible for your own taxes, insurance and any licence your knack requires. Nothing in these terms creates an employment relationship.
Prices and fees
The guide sets the hourly price and learners pay that price — KnackHub adds nothing on top. KnackHub takes a platform fee from the guide's payout; founding guides keep their founding rate of 10% for life. The exact split is always shown before anything is confirmed.
Bookings, payment and payouts
A booking is confirmed when payment goes through. The learner pays at checkout and the guide is paid out after the session takes place. Each booking is between that guide and that learner, for the knack and time they agreed.
Cancellations and refunds
Things happen. Tell us what went wrong through the contact page and we'll look into a refund case by case.
Your content
The words, photos and files you upload are yours. You give KnackHub permission to display them in the marketplace and in emails about your sessions, so the platform can work — and you promise you have the right to share what you upload.
Community rules
No unlawful, unsafe, hateful or misleading listings, no spam or scraping, no trying to break the platform, and no taking bookings off-platform to skip fees. We can remove a listing or suspend an account that breaks these rules.
Safety and liability
A knack is an agreement between the guide and the learner. KnackHub introduces them and handles the payment but doesn't run the session. Learners acknowledge a liability waiver when they book and guides acknowledge one when they list, and each side is responsible for their own conduct and safety. The platform is provided as it is, and our liability is limited to the fees we collected on the booking in question, as far as the law allows.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top changes when we do, and carrying on using KnackHub means you accept the new version.
